In Topic: money transfer to saudi arabia

SMOKE, on 17 May 2010 - 10:47 AM, said:my wife's brother just took a job in saudi arabia. he is short on cash & needs some money until he gets his first check. we've sent money to her family in the PI via western union & xoom. i went to both websites & saudi arabia isn't listed, as a country we can send to.
what company do we need to use to send him some money?
can it be set up for cash pick up?
what is the approximate time for the transfer to be completed? (15 min - 2 days etc.?)
thanks for any help.
Hmmm I dunno. I don;'t think any of the expat mena posters were ever connected to KSA to figure out sending money to them... I know we sent to Jordan visa moneygram and it took 24 hours to be available.. and was cash pick-up. KSA is unique in several ways and a lot of normal things aren't easy between us and them. Sending money could be one of those. You may need to look into dealing with a wire to an Islamic Bank as a third party or finding a bank there for direct transfer. I'm wondering if money transfer is underneath the net of riba and so not allowed in KSA. You may need to ask this on Vj. I know Jess and a couple of thers either lived in KSA or married someone from KSA and they may have a better idea. -

I still have not done anything. I didn't even start the cleanse until TODAY. Soooo, I have one full week until I leave for spring break. It's shred time for real this time. I even ate oatmeal this morning and instead of a vanilla latte I reluctantly ordered a "skinny vanilla latte". I think I shall just do black coffee this week. I just have to get my travel mug back or buy a new one so I'm not temped to stop at starbucks.
Rest of the week will be lots of vegetables LOTS.
My butt is big. My boobs have become larger, too. One of my bff's who thinks I am sooooooooo thin actually noticed my fuller figure last night. At one point she commented on how I'm trying to have a butt. Then later asked if I had a push up bra on. I didn't. Boobs are fatter and fuller. Sigh...
what is the cleanse and 2 week deal she advertises? i should look it up instead of being lazy and asking lol. You still keeping up the week-long denial? I ate too many almonds today. Other than that, i did pretty well. -

Oooo nice things! I fall in and out of love with conditioners too much. I love the smell and feel of Aussie Moist conditioner for long hair. I also love my fekkai glossing conditioner. I am never quite satisfied though. i remember this nature's gate chammomile with fondness and my custom made moonflower shea-butter conditioner from Body and Soul ( http://www.bodyandsoulonline.com/ ). I literally have tried a different conditioner and shampoo every time I have bought it for the past... well? Since I was 16? So the past 16 years? OMG, that's a long time. I love several but it's like there are just so many to try. I have heard great reviews about Bumble and Bumble Kelp shampoo and conditioner. it's $$$. I loved, I mean LOVED Halsa marigold shampoo and conditioner. That's the exception to my rule. I bought it faithfully constantly until it seemed like it was impossible to find. Then i learned they stoppped making it
.

I went a little crazy a few weeks ag and bought a few products for my hair. I have been losing a lot when i shower - although it has occurred to me that its not "more" as far as the number of hair, but probably looks double since its long. Anyway - I bought a few items.
Bumble & bumble thickening spray. I like this a lot. Makes my hair shiny, although I am not so sure about thickening
sebastian potion no. 9 as recommended to me by Christina. Decent light styling creme. It comes out orange!
and therapy g antioxidant shampoo for fine hair. It's kinda minty-mediciney and makes me a bit chilly in the shower, and I am guessing it will take awhile for any possible improvements to show.
I am still using Chi silk infusion, and will probably buy again. It does smell like cheap aftershave but it really works at calming my "confused" hair
. It also does not build up at all!
The only thing I still really need is a good conditioner.
