I really do like it. It doesn't smell like much (oatmealy) but I also got a lip balm as a free gift along with other soap samples. So far I have used it every time since I got it and I still have 1/2 a bar The lip balm is orange chocolate truffle, and despite intially thinking how weird - i love it! I am trying to get Del to switch over as well as its less plastic we will throw away (body wash) but he is not easily swayed away from his liquid soap :P

I just got a few new soapy things. My tea tree soap has finally produced some sort of ultra-drying effect and my face felt like it was on fire. So, I put on tons of moisturizer this weekend and I feel better-- but I need something new. I am trying a scrub (kelp) by alba, a blood orange cleanser by jason, a mulberry scrub from sephora and my nature's gate shampoo that i remember being awesome. I want some natural bar soap though too. In the winter, I definately can't handle the cold air/drying plus a really harsh soap and anything scrubby like a wash cloth... but in the summer i could probably switch over to bar soap completely with occasional scrubby.

I just realized I talked about soap, then lip balm, then soap, lip balm again then soap! Ugh. Brain not working in a straight line.

That looks like a great recipe. I would rather use simple olive oil and brown sugar than pay 68 :P

This thread has kind of died so i am thinking to resurrect JP's OT thread. I don't know where else to talk about beauty stuff except for at work, and unfortunately I don't have hours of down time to chat with the girl next room over (we downloaded chat because we are dorks). We did some great flat iron and OPI talk yesterday, but it's just not quite making it.

i bought some new stuff recently! yesterday i got nars foundation, which may be the absolute best shade match i've ever found in the last ten years. their lightest shade is siberia, and it's darn near perfection. and for $50 it should be. i bought laura mercier translucent setting powder to wear with it, which is also stellar. nars and laura mercier will never let you down. i tried potion primer too, but my cream eyeshadow has still melted a bit and settled under my eyes after an afternoon at the park. i had enough points at sephora to get this lovely opi gift set that came with three polishes, but i never wear nail polish, so i said no thanks. i got a miniature lorac lip gloss to try instead. it's a pretty color.

what kind of flat iron are you thinking about? i have a sedu that i like. i don't use it everyday though. it can be used when yr hair is still a little bit damp, which saves some time.

I toy with getting a better flat iron but i am never going to do it. I'm moer concerned with my skin than my hair. I just got "Aint Misbehavin'" anti blackhead treatment. Have only used it for like 3 days so cannot say how it really is. the Jason C cleanser is great. The Alba kelp facial scrub-- also great. I am not sure how the L'Occitan Brightening smoothening exfoliating facial scrub is working because I have only used it once. I got a delux sampler of the korres oak primer and so far I like it, although it hasn't made me look 12 yet again lol.I bought this cheap body scrub at Walmart, and it's actually good-- "Apricot and Ginger" by Skin Below the Chin. It's like 95% natural which is fairly rare for drugstore type stuff/prices. My Nature's Gate shampoo and conditioner is sitting on my windowsill waiting patiently for me to use up my current stuff.

I have this Aveda mask but I don't ever use it. Do you ever actually use a mask?

I never use masks. Good in theory - but I never get around to it.

I went a little crazy a few weeks ag and bought a few products for my hair. I have been losing a lot when i shower - although it has occurred to me that its not "more" as far as the number of hair, but probably looks double since its long. Anyway - I bought a few items.

Bumble & bumble thickening spray. I like this a lot. Makes my hair shiny, although I am not so sure about thickening :P

sebastian potion no. 9 as recommended to me by Christina. Decent light styling creme. It comes out orange!

and therapy g antioxidant shampoo for fine hair. It's kinda minty-mediciney and makes me a bit chilly in the shower, and I am guessing it will take awhile for any possible improvements to show.

I am still using Chi silk infusion, and will probably buy again. It does smell like cheap aftershave but it really works at calming my "confused" hair :P. It also does not build up at all!

The only thing I still really need is a good conditioner.

Oooo nice things! I fall in and out of love with conditioners too much. I love the smell and feel of Aussie Moist conditioner for long hair. I also love my fekkai glossing conditioner. I am never quite satisfied though. i remember this nature's gate chammomile with fondness and my custom made moonflower shea-butter conditioner from Body and Soul ( http://www.bodyandsoulonline.com/ ). I literally have tried a different conditioner and shampoo every time I have bought it for the past... well? Since I was 16? So the past 16 years? OMG, that's a long time. I love several but it's like there are just so many to try. I have heard great reviews about Bumble and Bumble Kelp shampoo and conditioner. it's $$$. I loved, I mean LOVED Halsa marigold shampoo and conditioner. That's the exception to my rule. I bought it faithfully constantly until it seemed like it was impossible to find. Then i learned they stoppped making it :( .
